Research

As the statewide seafood extension program manager, Pamela Tom extends outreach information on seafood safety, quality and HACCP information to clientele with varied backgrounds and professional interests. She is director of the Seafood Network Information Center -- the "go to" source for seafood related information. She also owns and manages the Seafood HACCP Discussion mailing list with over 950 subscribers worldwide representing industry, academia, regulatory and consumer educator interests.

Extension of Knowledge Activities 

In cooperation with industry and regulatory agencies, Pamela Tom plans and directs training and conference programs in HACCP, sanitation control procedures, sensory decomposition, quality and seafood updates.
