Cruess Hall Catwalk a Resounding Success
The first-ever Food and Food Packaging Fashion Show (also known as the Cruess Hall Catwalk) happened on Friday, April 18, 2008, at the Annual pre-Picnic Day BBQ. It was a fabulous event organized and emcee'd by Jamie Ruffolo, Food Science & Technology Executive Academic Assistant, and Patricia Glass, Robert Mondavi Institute Executive Administration and Event Coordinator. For a view of the wonderful fashions, please check out the photo album.
Pictured here from left to right are Patricia Glass (modeling her creation made from wine labels and corks), Keesha Williams (modeling the winning creation designed by Rebecca Milcarek), Professor John Krochta (one of the three judges), and Jamie Ruffolo (modeling her creation made from beer tops and labels). The FST department gratefully acknowledges the organizational success of Jamie and Patricia as well as student assistant Lianne Shields. The other two judges who had the arduous task of selecting the winner were FSGG student Joy Pieper and Textiles Adviser Joan Chandler.
