Christine Bruhn Receives Lectureship Award
Christine Bruhn is being honored with the Julius Bauerman Lectureship Award.
Christine Bruhn has been awarded the Julius Bauerman Lectureship Award. She will be traveling to Philadelphia to receive this recognition on October 10. Several UC Davis people, Emil Mrak and John Kinsella, received this recognition years ago. What a wonderful recognition to be named amongst such other very notable food scientists.
The Julius Bauermann Lectureship Award, begun in 1975 as the Philadelphia Section Lectureship Award, is presented each year to a scientist who has made significant advancements in food science and technology. It consists of an honorarium, an inscribed plaque, and travel expenses to the meeting when the award is presented. The recipient presents a lecture on some phase of his or her research or work for which the Award has been made. The awardee is chosen by a jury of section members selected to represent different areas of specialization and of the industry—government, academic, and industry representatives are included. Nominations for this award are invited from all section members.
